Demo versions

You may download demo versions of our programs via the following links:

These versions are identical with the full versions except for the following points:

  • The demo version only allows the execution of pretests; a start of the test itself and the saving of test results is not possible
  • Instead of the external reaction keys keyboard keys are used (key "1" for reaction key "1"; key "8" for reaction key "2")
  • There is some exemplary data build into the demo version which can be used for testing the result output

Manuals/Documents

  • Installation of an additional parallel port

After upgrading your PC (with a PCI/PCIExpress card) or laptop (with a PCMCIA/Express card) a few more steps have to be done to make the TAP programs work.
You' ll find details in the document Installation of an additional parallel port.

  • Setting up the TAP group

To use the real-time priority of the subtests even with windows user accounts which have limited rights a TAP user group is set up during installation. Local user accounts are available during installation; network user accounts of a Windows domain have to be added manually.
The procedure is described in Setting up Tap group.

  • Using Windows Vista/Windows 7

Using the TAP programs under Windows Vista/Windows 7 there is the problem that the real-time priority for the subtests is refused while working with an administrative account (in spite of a correct setup of the TAP group) - working with a user account the behaviour is trouble-free by analogy with 2000 and XP!
By an additional setting as described in TAP-Programs and Windows Vista/Windows 7 - which has to be done only once - this somehow illogical behaviour can be bypassed.

  • Test identifiers: Comparison TAP 1.7 - 2.0/2.1/2.2

In this document you'll find a list of the test identifiers for the several subtests of TAP 1.7 and TAP 2.x.

Remote maintenance - customer module

If you experience problems with installing, setup or running the TAP programs, we'll be able to assist via remote maintenance; the computer in question needs, however, a working internet connection.
For the remote maintenance itself the software "Teamviewer" would be used (s. vendor homepage for more information on security and mode of operation of the program).
An appropriate customer module (which doesn't require a separate installation and also works for an user account with limited rights) is available for download on our server.
Special settings for routers, firewalls, etc. are not necessary, because an encrypted connection is established via servers of the vendor.

TVicHW32 error message - Registry file

For the error message described in the FAQ you'll find a registry file here to correct the problem. Please refer to the enclosed "readme.txt" for details.

Drivers for Hardlock- and HASP-Dongle

The drivers for the USB and (with older versions) parallel port dongle respectively are enclosed in the TAP installation programs and are installed automatically during a standard setup. In some cases a driver update may be necessary; therefore in the following the according links:
